Bisi Daniels is a journalist and author. Creative writing is his greatest
hobby. A graduate of Economics and Psychology from the University of
Ghana, Bisi had attended a teacher's college and taught for four years
thereafter. He continued teaching, after his University education, for
eight years in secondary schools. That was where his love for writing
crystallized into the success of an economics textbook for secondary
schools. The obsession for writing made journalism a more suitable
profession for him, and he was successively the business editor of two of
Nigeria's two most influential newspapers, The Guardian and This Day.
He joined Elf Petroleum in 1996 as Media Relations Manager and moved, a
year later, to Shell Petroleum where he was at various times Head,
Strategy and Planning; Head, Communications and Media; and Communications
Manager. He returned to THISDAY as Editorial Board Chairman between 2008
and 2010.
He has travelled widely around the world - US, UK, Malaysia, Sri Lanka,
Barbados, Germany, Sweden and Australia, among others.
Bisi has written eight novels, an economics textbook; two
religious/inspirational books, English and Mathematics books for Nursery
and Primary Schools, eight plays and four Supplementary English Readers
for Secondary Schools.
Bisi has publishers in Nigeria, Europe and in the United States.
